Be Cyber Safe!

Last month, in Computer Literacy we learned about Internet Safety. When I was looking for information on the topic, I came across this nifty poster created by CTAP. If you would like to print a copy and post it in your work area or near the family computer, click here.

  1. I like the quote about passwords: "Passwords are like underwear. Change them often and don't share them with friends." LOL!

  4. That part about passwords being like underwear is so funny! I really like how this blog is made, with the question mark in the middle and then each subject branching out in a speech bubble. It looks great!

  7. That if you're crazy enough to meet someone online, at least make sure it's safe. And that underwear/password was really funny, I'll have to remember that. :)

  8. I learned that if you are going to meet someone who you met on the computer in real life, then you should do it during the day, in a public place. The comparison of underware to passwords was very funny and appropriate.

  9. One thing I learned is if you want to meet with someone in real life that you met online, and you don't take an adult with you, have them know where you are and when you plan to be back. Also, meet in a public place during the day.

  13. One thing I learned about Internet Safety was cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is simply bullying online. There are many ways to cyberbully, including making a blog for making fun of someone, repeating posts when you've been asked to stop, pretending to be someone else online, and posting someone's personal information onto a public site. You can even get arrested for VERY severe cyberbullying, like threating to harm or kill someone or posting someone's personal information onto a public place. If you're being cyberbullied, keep the posts you recieved to prove to an adult that you're being cyberbullied.
